RIB & Inflatable Boat Repairs

We handle the full spectrum of RIB/SIB repairs — from slow valve leaks and pin-hole punctures to major tears, seam leaks, tube-to-hull reattachment, and hardware refits (rubbing strake, grab handles, lifeline holders, D-rings, cones and valves). Our technicians work to commercial standards to get you safely back on the water, fast.

Workshop repair or DIY support

Workshop repair (recommended): We diagnose, prep, bond and finish in our Sydney facility, then pressure-test and clean before handover.

DIY supply: Confident doing it yourself? We can supply patch material and tube fittings (rubstrake, D-rings, handles etc.). If unsure, book the workshop—fit and finish are critical.

Common repair types (what to expect)

Punctures & tears
Small punctures typically take an external patch. Larger tears usually require internal + external reinforcement. Cut patches with rounded corners and lightly abrade bonding surfaces to a uniform dull finish (don’t expose base fibres). Clean thoroughly, then apply even pressure with a roller and allow full cure before re-inflating.

Seam leaks
Prep both sides to a dull finish, apply two contact coats with proper flash-off between coats, roll firmly from the centre out, avoid pooling in crevices, and let cure fully.

Tube attachment (glued-on tubes)
When a tube lifts from the hull, both substrates must be cleaned, lightly abraded and bonded with controlled, even coats. Avoid heavy glue build-up at bow/stern corners.

Valves
Faulty assemblies are typically replaced, not rebuilt. We supply replacement valves (often pre-mounted on a bonding patch) and can fit in-house.

Rubbing strake / grab handles / lifelines / D-rings
Remove old adhesive, prep to a dull finish without over-sanding the top layer, bond with even pressure, and avoid glue pooling at ends and corners.

Materials
We build and repair with genuine Achilles Hypalon (CSM) and compatible components for maximum UV, abrasion and fuel/oil resistance.

Safety & quality notes
Work in a well-ventilated area and use appropriate PPE (gloves/respirator) during sanding and bonding.
Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for surface prep, mix ratios, flash-off and cure times.

When in doubt, choose the workshop repair—bond quality and surface prep are everything.

Based in Sydney. We repair locally and ship materials & fittings Australia-wide.

Refurb

We restore tired RIBs to safe, sharp and seaworthy—deep clean, valve swaps, rubstrake replacement, hardware refresh/additions, and wear-point reinforcements—using genuine Achilles Hypalon (CSM) and quality fittings.

Upgrades: colour accents, agency logos, non-skid patches.
Process: Inspect & quote → Refurb & fit-out → Pressure test & handover.

For a quote: make/model/year + photos (bow/stern/side/issue) + desired upgrades + timing.
