Self Bailer Flapper

Achilles Self Bailer Flappers act as a one way valve to allow water to flow out of the vessel when under power, but prevents water from filling the boat. While it does prevent water from moving into the hull when under power, we do not recommend removing the drain plug when not in motion as some water will leak past the flapper. The drain plug (C441B) is the ultimate way to prevent water from entering the hull. A self bailer flapper is equivalent to a drain diaphragm and is constructed from rubber. This flapper or diaphragm fits the Achilles Self Bailer Valve (C441A).
